Iraq War remembered: Good Morning Baghdad

In the years after the Iraq war increasing numbers of ordinary Iraqis became embroiled in the battle between coalitions forces and Iraqi militants. But just why have the Americans failed to convince Iraqi's that they have come as liberators - and not occupiers?

Journalist Inigo Gilmour spent seven weeks for Channel 4 News comparing events inside the Greenzone - the heavily fortified US military garrison in Baghdad - with that of Sadr City - a poor and over-populated suburb that is also Baghdad's largest Shia neighbourhood.

He discovered that despite good intentions, the American military is failing comprehensively in the most important battle of all - the one to win hearts and minds.
