Corruption of governments and corporations affects the rationality of decisions. We all know this to be true but seem to accept this as a way of life, to a degree. However, the cumulative impacts of seemingly small amounts of corruption can be great. Of course, corruption tends to be more acute in developing nations. But the events of the past 18 months should steer us away from the disillusion that the Western world is somehow any less impacted by corruption.
