There's no telling whether this is a symbolic gesture or a physical one but any kind of terrorism is dependent on gathering fear.....fear is after all a big part of chaos. Perhaps this is why the North American media has treated it with silence. In some respect, I think it is wise to not advertise such fear. ...and let's hope, like you said, that these Iranian statements are simply crack-pot.
