Iranian leaders repeat their claim that they will stun the world on February 11. Frankly, this story is receiving little-to-no coverage by North American media. What is going on?
“The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned,” Khamenei, who is also Iran’s commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.
My theories, which I hope turn out to be crack-pot:
1. They may unveil a nuclear weapons program.
2. They may turn off the oil taps for 1 day, to demonstrate their power.
3. They may start pricing oil in a currency other than US dollars.
Worst case, and I think this is unlikely but thought I better mention it, is they enter into an armed conflict of some sort.

The advantage of any threat is the power of possibility.
There’s no telling whether this is a symbolic gesture or a physical one but any kind of terrorism is dependent on gathering fear…..fear is after all a big part of chaos.
Perhaps this is why the North American media has treated it with silence. In some respect, I think it is wise to not advertise such fear.
…and let’s hope, like you said, that these Iranian statements are simply crack-pot.
