Chinese officials – although low on the totem pole – are continuing to spew angry rhetoric towards the US. The $6.4 trillion US deal to sell US-made weapons to Taiwan has China up in arms.

The Chinese are obviously fuming. As part of the political chess game, senior branches are likely permitting lower-level officials to publicly threaten the US.

The following was taken from an article published by the official Xinhua news agency:

“Our retaliation should not be restricted to merely military matters, and we should adopt a strategic package of counter-punches covering politics, military affairs, diplomacy and economics to treat both the symptoms and root cause of this disease,” said Luo Yuan, a researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences.

He goes on…

Luo said Beijing could “attack by oblique means and stealthy feints” to make its point in Washington.

“For example, we could sanction them using economic means, such as dumping some U.S. government bonds,” Luo said.

China isn’t the only nation flexing its muscle…Iran is threatening to do something on February 11 that will stun the Western world.
